2025 AUSTRALIAN SUPERBIKE CHAMPIONSHIP: Round 8
The Bend
November 7-9, 2025
The Bend’s prized slot as the final, high stakes round in the mi-bike Motorcycle Insurance Australian Superbike Championship presented by Motul (ASBK) will continue into 2025, with the Tailem Bend-based circuit to host the Grand Finale from November 7-9.
The 2025 event will mark The Bend’s fifth year of bookmarking the ASBK Championship, in a period where the likes of grand prix riders Jack Miller, Senna Agius and Joel Kelso have all competed, as well as Aussie world endurance champion Josh Hook and German international Marcel Schrötter.
However, even the might of the cameo cadre hasn’t been able to bring the locals down a peg, with Troy Herfoss having been the dominant rider at The Bend since 2021 with four wins to his credit.
Herfoss also wrapped up the Superbike title at the 4.95km circuit in 2023, while Wayne Maxwell (2021), Mike Jones (2022) and Josh Waters (2024) have also been crowned at The Bend in the premier class.
Based on the thrilling precedents, the 2025 Grand Finale is also likely to enjoy cliff-hanger status – and not just in Superbike, but also the Supersport, Supersport 300, Oceania Junior Cup and Superbike Masters classes as well.
The Bend, officially opened in 2018, is one of the premier circuits in the world. The 18-turn international layout used in the ASBK Championship provides massive variety – blind turns, sweeping corners, hard braking zones and areas for maximum acceleration – which makes it anything but a walk in the park. It’s the degree of difficulty which makes it such a formidable challenge for riders and a bonanza for spectators.
The infrastructure, corporate and spectator facilities at The Bend are world class, which means all the off-track ASBK activities – welcome centre displays, fan zone, the ASBK Trade Alley, ‘Mini Moto come and try’ sessions, autograph sessions and pitlane walks – are also extremely popular.
The huge welcome centre also hosts ASBK press conferences for the fans, and accommodation is also available on site at the 100-room Rydges Pit Lane Hotel and cabins and camping at The Bend Big4 Holiday Park – as well as options for all budgets across Tailem Bend and towns close to the Murray River.
