1st – Tom Bramich (Honda) – Ron Angel Classic Racing
“I can’t believe it after Friday – from looking at the sky on turn two to coming away with the championship win – I just don’t know what to say and I’m just so thankful for all the people around me that supported me the whole year.
“After yesterday we had a disastrous fifth I think it was, so all the pressure was on him (Brian) and I just had to do my best.
“Another Australian title next weekend hopefully on the Ron Angel 500 at Mallala so we will see what we can do there!”
2nd – Brian Houghton (Honda) – K1 Racing
“It has been a good season – it has been very enjoyable.
“This weekend was really good and the top four riders were at it and I can’t wait to watch it myself actually.
“I started riding again 18 months ago, and I hadn’t ridden before that for 20 years.
“Without sounding silly about it, I think it is really good – it doesn’t have to be me, it could be anybody, but if the other riders are given an incentive it is really good.
“We are going to do the series again next year – we’ll have another crack and then I might just hang it up for good then.”
3rd – Matt Barton (Honda) – CB Racing
“I am pretty happy – it was good to the round win down here and we managed to finish on the podium of every race that we finished, so we are really stoked.
“We got more time on the FTR which is the main thing before the GP next week, so we are really happy with how the weekend has gone and our season in general.
“It’s all good and we have improved, and things are looking really good for next year as well.
