SUPERBIKES TO PERFORM AT HIDDEN VALLEY MILESTONE EVENT

Troy Herfoss will be parade his championship winning CBR1000RR at this weekend’s milestone 20th Hidden Valley Supercar event to create awareness for the up and coming Superbike round at Hidden Valley on July 6 -9

Motorcycling Australia initiated the brand strategy to capitalize on the huge fan base that the Hidden Valley event attracts each year. MA President Peter Doyle said “The event is expecting 40,000 people over 3 days and the TV audience last year peaked at 1.5 million with average of 850,000 viewers watching the live broadcast.”

“The fans absolutely love this event, and for the locals its great for them to see this message that we’ve got another great motorsport event coming up in just a couple of weeks time. You won’t miss the event details as its across the window strip of Nick Percat’s Commodore and Troy will be doing some parade laps to show the crowd just how awesome these Superbikes are.”

Brad Jones started his career in motorcycling and is excited to be working with Motorcycling Australia to promote the Superbike championship round in Darwin “I began my motorsport career in motorcycling and my brother Kim also road raced, this is a fantastic opportunity to give something back to motorcycle racing”.

Troy Herfoss will also swap his leathers for a race suit and will sit alongside Nick Percat for a Hot Lap around Darwin’s famous Hidden Valley raceway on Friday.  The reigning Superbike Champion is looking forward to swapping two wheels for four adding “What an awesome opportunity to get in a car with a former Bathurst winner. I am excited for the opportunity to swap my Honda Superbike for a flying lap in a Supercar”

Troy would also like to see the return of some two plus four events in the future “It would be great to be racing alongside Supercars again. The crowd, atmosphere and TV audience is just massive and provides motorcycle racing with some great opportunities”.
