Superbike Masters attack The Bend in November

As it was in 2021, The Bend Motorsport Park will once again host the finale of the mi-bike Motorcycle Insurance Australian Superbike Championship presented by Motul.(ASBK)

This year, multiple championships will come down to the final round and the final race. 

To add to the drama and excitement, the championship will welcome back the always popular Superbike Masters to the fray and the 4.95km International Circuit at Tailem Bend.

This will be the second time the Superbike Masters have joined ASBK in 2022 and provides a perfect bookend to the season- having last joined the Championship at Round One 2022- Phillip Island. 

ASBK has a proud history that has seen many of Australia’s greatest champions crowned on a wide variety of makes and machinery and having the Superbike Masters join ASBK again will be a treat for riders and fans alike.

In 2022, the Superbike Masters offers a chance to celebrate the past whilst looking to the future as the next group of Australian Champions are crowned at ‘The Bend’.

The Superbike Masters will see the following Four historic classes all out on track at once battling it out to take class honours;

  • P5 Formula 1
  • P5 Unlimited
  • P6 Formula 750
  • P6 Formula 1300

This is the first time Superbike Masters have visited The Bend, and a first time visit for most of the riders in the Class.

As well as the above, we will see bikes from 1978 – 1990 on track, including

  • Yamaha TZ 750 , 4 cylinder 2 strokes.
  • Suzuki TR 750 , 4 cylinder 2 Strokes.
  • Suzuki GSX 1100 , 4 cylinder 
  • Honda CB1100R,  4 cylinder
  • Suzuki GS1000, 4 cylinder
  • Kawaski Z900 -Z1000- Z1r 4 cylinder

The 2022 mi-bike Motorcycle Insurance Australian Superbike Championship, presented by Motul.(ASBK) final round at The Bend will be held on from Friday the 25th – Sunday the 27th  of November. For more information and tickets see: https://www.asbk.com.au/spectator-info/round-8/
