Spokes.com.au presents Rounds 3 at Winton

Spokes.com.au not only presented Round 3 of the Yamaha Motor Finance Australian Superbikes presented by Motul Pirelli (ASBK), but the Spokes team were also on site to share the importance of motorcycle safety with the ASBK crowd. The Spokes marquee was one of the many highlights of the racing weekend with motorcycle enthusiasts getting up close and personal with the ASBK riders during a number of Q&A sessions. In addition to learning about the importance of motorcycle safety, fans had the opportunity to win a range of motorcycle safety gear.

On hand to help spread the ‘Towards Zero’ message were top level ASBK competitors, Troy Herfoss, Wayne Maxwell, Josh Waters, Robbie Bugden, Bryan Staring, Daniel Falzon and Cru Halliday. The ASBK caught up with Spokes ambassador, Kaine Blake to discuss the importance of rider safety.

“What we are trying to achieve with Spokes.com.au, is to educate riders to be safe on the road, wear the correct gear and to not under estimate the importance of Anti-Lock Braking Systems (ABS) when purchasing their next bike.

“Towards Zero is a vision for a future where no person dies or is seriously injured on our roads – this means it’s up to all of us to make good choices every time we get on our bikes,” Blake explained.

“At the Spokes ‘Trackside’ marquee, what we’re most looking forward to is meeting bike fans and riders from all-over, so that we can spread the overarching messages of road safety along with getting the Spokes.com.au name out there. And of course, getting to meet the superstar riders of the ASBK!” Blake continued.

Over the duration of the race weekend, ASBK fans had the opportunity to win fantastic prizes that Spokes.com.au generously offered to the lucky contestants, Blake adding; “We are also here to giveaway up to $1000 worth of protective motorcycle gear when people sign up to enter the competition. All they need to do to enter is to identify what riders should be wearing and what plans they should make when choosing their journeys and performing the appropriate safety checks before taking the bike out of the garage,” Blake finished.

Motorcycling Australia (MA) and ASBK is pleased to have Spokes.com.au presenting the Victorian rounds of the championship, and are looking forward to the ongoing partnership throughout 2017.
