Sells has another day out

Race Centre rider Drew Sells has had a flawless day out in the Production class at the second round of the 2015 Yamaha Motor Finance ASBK Championship presented by Motul Pirelli.

The event being held at Morgan Park in Queensland featured sunny weather, huge crowds and a wonderful display of racing – and the racing in the Production class was fantastic.

Sells started out the day by dominating the opening qualifying session, finishing the 20-minute session more than a second and a half faster than New South Welshman Justin Hall.

In the second session Sells was unable to shave time of his best lap for the day, was was still the fastest rider out in the class.

Michelle Marais (SP Racing) who finished third in the opening session was not far behind Sells in second, with Hall having to settle for third this time around.

The times handed Marais second spot on the grid for the afternoon’s race whith Hall taking the final spot on the front row.

The opening race of the class saw Sells lead the field from start to finish putting in a clinical display of racing.

Hall moved into second position early and finished the race there, while Marais had to settle for third.

Races two and three for the class will take place on Sunday.
