Morgan Park primed for ASBK Round 2

The ASBK Management Team recently conducted an inspection of Morgan Park Raceway to begin preparations for Round 2 on April 10 – 11 2015.

While many are winding down for the Christmas break, the Management Team continue to work hard towards providing a first class road racing series for next year.

Tom Williams, Bronwyn Sorensen and Simon Maas visited the track, located just south of Warwick in South East Queensland, to continue planning the Australian Championship round scheduled for April.

Although Round 2 is four months away, the Management Team continue to work behind the scenes, already planning the logistics of the event to provide QLD race fans with a spectacular weekend of racing.

“We’re very pleased to add this new venue to the Championship calendar for 2015.” MA’s High Performance and Events Manager, Bronwyn Sorensen said.

The venue is no stranger to hosting motorsport at the national level, the Shannons Nationals Motor Racing Championships and the 2009 Australian Historic Road Racing Championship have previously been held here in front of an impressive crowd of passionate race fans.

Morgan Park’s facilities will make race fans very welcome in this scenic country location, spectators will find a terrific view of the action from around the circuit.

“There are one or two adjustments and additions we’ll make ahead of Round 2 to have the facility at ASBK standard to ensure a great weekend of racing.” Tom Williams of the ASBK Management Team said.

Host club for Round 2, Motorcycle Sportsmen of QLD, have been working with MA  to ensure Morgan Park is at its best when Australia’s Superbike racers descend on the Sunshine State.

Competitors are encouraged to check out Motorcycle Sportsmen of QLD website here to find out about opportunities for valuable track time on the circuit before Round 2 in April.

The ASBK Management Team plan to visit other venues on the calendar well ahead of schedule to deliver a safe and exciting championship for racers and fans around Australia.
