MEDIA CALL – 2017 ASBK Winton Motor Raceway Test, 11-12 of April

The Yamaha Motor Finance Australian Superbike Championship presented by Motul Pirelli (ASBK) Test at Winton Motor Raceway at Benalla VIC from 11-12 April, is soon approaching. The bikes will roar to life with riders pushing for competitive lap times and setup changes before the eagerly anticipated Round Three, Winton Motor Raceway, 28-30 April. Please fill in your accreditation forms to attend the Official Test.

By obtaining official ASBK media accreditation, you will have access both trackside and to the flood of race professionals testing in preparation for Round Three at Winton Motor Raceway!

The ASBK championship is heating up with Troy Herfoss (Crankt Protein Honda Racing CBR-1000SP) having a stellar weekend at Round Two Wakefield Park Raceway, to place himself back in the hunt for the Yamaha Motorcycle Insurance (YMI) Australian Superbike Championship. Wayne Maxwell (Yamaha Racing Team, YZF-R1) also impressed to win Race Two. Tom Toparis (Cube Racing Team, Kawasaki ZX-6R) took the overall Round of the Motul Australian Supersport Championship with his first victory in the class. Reid Battye (DB Racing, Ninja 300), despite being in the Under 300’s class took the overall round for the Hi-Tec Batteries Australian Supersport 300 Championship. Jack Passfield delivered the first blow for the Yamaha Motor Finance (YMF) R3 Cup to take the overall round at Wakefield Park Raceway.

With a variety of stories and rivalries unfolding within the ASBK championship, the Official Winton Motor Raceway Test at Benalla VIC, will be one to witness. The YMI Superbikes, Motul Australian Supersports, Hi-Tec Batteries Australian Supersport 300’s and the YMF R3 Cup will all be racking up the laps for the Winton Test.
