Drane fastest in Practice for Oceania Junior Cup Round 3
New South Wales’ Tom Drane (Yamaha YZF R15) has topped the timesheets in Practice for Round 3 of the 2019 bLU cRU Oceania Junior Cup, held at Queensland’s Morgan Park Raceway this weekend (July 5-7).
Drane’s set his fastest time of a 1:40.031 in the day’s second session, two tenths ahead of the next-best placed rider, Queenslander Max Gibbons. His best time of the day also came in the second session,, posting a 1:40.031 for his best. His time was good enough for second ahead of Angus Grenfell (1:40.291) in third.
Jacob Roulstone clocked a 1:40.693 to end up fourth, Marianos Nikolis (1:40.745) ended the day in fifth, and Jai Russo (1:40.747) sixth. Less than a second covered the first seven riders in the field, with Zak Pettendy also under one second off the lead in seventh (1:40.765).
Race 1 of Round 3 of the 2019 bLU cRU Oceania Junior Cup begins tomorrow (July 6).
