Boughen / Shorter took victory for the F1 Championship, despite coming under pressure from Ford / Menzies in F2.

Alton commenting; “The 1000’s had more horsepower on us and I tried to make up more ground on them in the corners. I tried getting them under brakes but it locked up on us a few times. I had the best passenger for a little 600 to keep up with the F1’s for a few laps.”

Boughen sharing; “We had burnt our tyres up by the end and we were working hard. Looking forward to working with Robbie for the final round.” Shorten said he was happy to take some Aussie silverware back to New Zealand.
