ASBK ready to roar back into life

AS the huge contingent of international riders descend on Phillip Island next week for the Australian round of the World Superbike Championship, a large number will also head down to battle it out in the opening round of the 2015 Australian Superbike Championship.

The ASBK holds its opening round at the Island in conjunction with the WSBK event – one of two ASBK rounds held in 2015 at the circuit.

In 2015, Australia’s premier road racing series will make its way to four states around the country over five rounds of competition – making it a truly national series.

For the opening round at Phillip Island, grid sizes will be near full, with 35 riders entered into the Superbike class and 34 riders competing in Supersport.

Other classes in action will be Moto3/125GP class as well as a junior class taking part under the auspices of the MRRDA – with 16 riders already entered into the event.

You can keep up to date with all information relating to the opening round – and indeed the whole series – via the ASBK website (www.asbk.com.au).

News, results, photos and all the latest from the Island will be posted on the site over the three days of action starting on Friday next week.
