ASBK Post Event Technical Report Round 6, Sydney Motorsport Park
ASBK would like to advise that at ASBK Round 6, held at Sydney Motorsport Park on 8th to 10th of September that a full technical inspection and post-race compliance check was conducted in accordance to MA regulations.
All machines competing in Supersport 300 were impounded and engines sealed following P3 on Friday 8th September. This includes all spare bikes nominated for competition at SMP.
Further technical inspections and compliance checks were conducted following Supersport 300 Race 3 on Sunday 10th September, which included the following machines:

No: 33 Reid Battye Kawasaki Ninja 300
No: 37 Jack Mahaffy Yamaha YZF-R3
No: 41 Max Croker KTM RC 390
No: 71 Tommy Edwards Yamaha YZF-R3
No: 86 Oliver Bayliss Kawasaki Ninja 300
All engine seals were inspected prior to disassembly and were found to be intact and functional. The following compliance checks were conducted on the machines listed above:
- Compression ratio / Deck height; all units were found to be compliant.
- Camshaft profiles; all units were found to be compliant.
- Transmission gear ratios; all units were found to be compliant.
The following machines in the Superbike class were impounded and engines sealed following Q1 on Saturday 9th September.

All machines that had their engines sealed must remain sealed and be available for additional technical inspections and compliance checks at Round 7 of ASBK to be held at Phillip Island Grand Prix Circuit. Failure to have all sealed engines available will be reported to the ASBK Series Clerk of Course for actioning.
Further random technical inspections were also conducted on machines for weight and tyre homologation.
