Motul supports ASBK Production class

Industry leader Motul has thrown more of its weight behind the 2015 Yamaha Motor Finance Australian Superbike Championship presented by Motul Pirelli, with news that it will be offering additional incentive for riders in the Production class.

As round three of the series heads to Barbagallo Raceway in Western Australia from 22-24 May, Motul will now offer support to the first, second and third placed finishers in the Production class.

The support comes in the way of a care pack for each podium finisher, and reflects Motul’s desire to give back to the sport at grass-roots level.

Speaking about the news ahead of round three, Link International marketing Co-Ordinator Mark Kelly said that he was pleased to be able to give something back to the future champions of the sport.

“We are very pleased to be able to announce this new level of support for the Production class in the 2015 ASBK series,” he said.

“The Production class is a very special class of racing – it really is all about grass-roots level racing and it is where we are likely to see our next batch of Aussie and hopefully international champions come from.

“We know that it is an expensive sport, and any help that can be given is always appreciated, so we are pleased to be able to align Motul to this class, the series, and help some of the riders out.”

Speaking about the news, Motorcycling Australia CEO Dale Gilson added that it was wonderful to see brands like Motul throwing their weight behind the series.

“This is just another in a long string of announcements highlighting industry support for the series, and we are very grateful for the contribution that Motul will be making,” he said.

“To have so many sponsors and supporters on board again highlights that we are on the right path to taking the ASBK back to its glory days in this country.

“We couldn’t do that without the support of so many, and it is a great that Motul will be helping by giving back to some of the up and coming talent we have racing in Australia.”
