Kelso in Commanding Position for Moto 3 / 125GP

The Moto 3 / 125GP class completed their practice sessions today, as part of the Yamaha Motor Finance Australian Superbike Championship presented by Motul Pirelli (ASBK). The riders were eager to set themselves up for a strong weekend ahead. It was Joel Kelso (JDS Moto, Honda NSF250R) to be the fastest rider of the day.

Based on the entry-level category featured in the MotoGP World Championship, Moto 3 / 125GP is made up of the purpose-built Yamaha, Honda, and Aprilia race bikes.

Competitors relished in the optimal track conditions all day, and it was Kelso who was fastest, with a time of 1:40.744, to place in front of his rival Dylan Whiteside (Aussie Crane Trucks, Honda NSF250R). Kelso was a whopping 1.286s in front of his nearest challenger.

In third position was Dallas Skeer (Ron Angel Classic Racing, Honda NSFR) with a 1:45.680

In fourth, the very talented Scott Topping rode well to post a time of 1:49.600. Taran Ocean rounded out the top five with a 1:50.019.
